PROFESSIONAL EMAIL WRITING
Course Overview
This course is the first of two email writing courses to help you write effective business emails in English with tips on how to write professional emails and lessons to improve your English writing skills. Besides skills for email writing, you will improve your grammar and vocabulary and improve your cross cultural knowledge to help you success in a global environment.
We will look at multiple email formats and analyse tone, formality levels, and organisational styles. We will cover emails for introductions, announcements, requests and emails that apologise or revise a request. We will look at and write and revise 4–5 emails, complete several comprehension quizzes and review the emails of other participants.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Improve your English writing skills
- Compare differences and similarities between different email formats
- Write effective subject lines and email text
- Apply key language vocabulary for different emails
- Correct common errors in punctuation
- Cover tone and formality in emails
- Study cultural differences in communication in emails
